On Sunday 28th September 2025 the Hamlin Gardeners hosted a Free Family Fun event in Hamlin Lane Playing Fields

- FREE refreshments
- Marquees
- Cover and seating for older residents
- Bingo!
- Games and activities
And it was amazing!! Over 50 local residents came to share good neighbourly cheer and the Hamlin Gardeners residents' group provided cake, games and activities for all ages. A really joyful happening to witness!

"My mum has lived in Hamlin Gardens for about 22 years now and she is part of the group that is doing this today. They made the kites with my daughter and we've finished them all off and brought them today to fly. I'm very proud of my mum and the group and the community that they've brought together. Yea, it's been a really great afternoon hasn't it? Lots of happy kids and I hope rested parents, not chasing kites for too long! It's been wonderful"

A KITE-MAKING WORKSHOP WITH
LEIGH MARTIN
A wonderful resident-led event happened in early August with children from the estate coming together to create kites to fly at the family fun event. They were all so polite and attentive, it was an absolute joy!!
