We’ve had some great responses to our question, What’s great enough about Hamlin Gardens to celebrate and What’s important enough to change? (See below).
The next step is to come together to discuss these things, get a sense of the strongest priorities and decide together how we can broker a bit of people power to get things done!
I’ve booked the communal room on three dates at different times so hopefully one of them will match your availability:-
Tuesday 17th June, 11.00-12.30 (11 am - 12.30 pm)
Thursday 19th June, 16.30-18.00 (4.30 - 6.00 pm)
Saturday 28th June, 14.00-15.30 (2.00-3.30 pm)
Please do reply to confirm that you’ve received this and indicate which day you can make. You are of course very welcome to come along to all three.
That’ll give us a good sense of what people feel most passionately about and we’ll take things from there. There is a bit of funding in the pot from Live and Move. Not enough for a whole new bridge to the Playing Fields I’m afraid but we can talk about things like new benches, a communal garden, a community celebration of the link with the Playing Fields … it’ll be up to you.
I’ve also been taking a poll on people’s favourite cakes!! There will be Lemon Drizzle, Chocolate Cake plus Vegan and Gluten free options.
Cake is the fuel of community action!!
